The Black Hills is the fourth of the founded Realms of the Domain: brought into being January 1, 2002 by Lady Dame ShadowHeart the Crimson Dawn ni DarkFyre. Currently, the Black Hills sits without a Ruler, and lies under the administration of the DarkFyre Imperium, until a ruler is found.

The Black Hills ares has been well-known for its namesake, the Black Hills of the Dakotas and Wyoming, for long centuries before the Domain itself was brought into existence. Like most all Realms of the Domain, it is a land of beauty and mystery, held sacred by many of the Native Americans who live and are descended from the area. There are myths, legends, and secrets to be found in the Black Hills. All of which are to be respected.
